The Arabba resort is perfect for those looking for quality snow, as well as offering ideal conditions and slopes for intermediates and beginners. It offers some of the most challenging north facing slopes in the Dolomites, starting from an altitude of 1610-3300m. Arabba and neighbouring Marmolada are located directly on the famous “Sella Ronda” tour, a 42km circuit between the resorts of Corvara (Alta Badia) and Canazei (Val di Fassa). Arabba is a charming alpine village containing a good selection of accommodation, all within easy walking distance of the ski lifts.
Some of the best off piste ski routes in the Dolomites are easily reached from these resorts including the ‘Val Mezdi’, the ‘Marmolada Glacier’ and the ‘Sella Couloirs’, all of which offer the ultimate in free riding for the more extreme skier or snowboarder. The Marmolada Glacier is the highest skiable peak in the Dolomites (3342m).
We offer an optional 2-3 day ski guiding tour in the Super Dolomiti ski area. We work together with the ski school and local alpine guides on our ski touring programme and will help you see and explore the less visited areas to ensure you make the most of your Super Dolomiti ski pass. Should you wish to improve your technique or venture off-piste we are happy to assist with booking ski school and private tuition as well as recommending instructors/guides.
The Dolomiti Superski area is one of the largest lift-served ski regions in Europe, it has an enormous and modern network of 460 lifts, 12 ski resorts and 1220km of groomed trails. In one day it is possible to ski or board anything between 45-75km without catching the same lift twice. This area, often referred to as the ‘intermediates paradise’, also contains a number of untouched off piste routes that range from steep couloirs to vast open bowls. There is no doubt that this stunning mountain range has more than enough to satisfy every level of skier and snowboarder.
Activity Information
The Super Dolomiti ski area is famous for its planned ski tours including:
- ‘Tour Delle Emozioni’ which takes you through the romantic tree lined runs passing a number of traditional refuges.
- ‘Sella Ronda’, a famous well-signed circular ski touring route which encompasses four mountain passes.
- ‘The Great War Tour’ is a historical ski circuit that winds its way through the WW1 invasion areas.
- 'Marmolada Glacier to Sottoguda Gorge’ is a 16km tour which starts at an altitude of 3400m and leads you into the dramatic gorge of Sottoguda.
The Dolomite Ski Schools all have a number of English speaking instructors and an excellent reputation for tuition in skiing and snowboarding at all levels. We strongly recommend a course for beginners to learn the basic skills and develop the confidence to enjoy skiing and/or snowboarding. As the ski schools have a limited number of instructors we can pre-book group and private lessons to save any disappointment in resort, particularly during high season.

There is no minimum age requirement for this package and there is a creche in Arabba for very young children who don't ski. This resort can cater for beginner, intermediate and advanced level skiers but it is sometimes referred to as 'the intermediates paradise'.
