Activus Outdoors provides a range of outdoor activities and adventure experiences for individuals, families and groups including: UK mountain/multi-activity challenge events, alpine trekking, activity holidays, outdoor adventure activities, short break wilderness mountain excursions in Scotland and mountain/water skills training courses. In summer our Adventure activity holidays include white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, canyoning, mountain biking, caving, paragliding, hydrospeed and graded mountain walking in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions of Western Europe. Our winter activities offer skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing holidays as well as combined multi-activity trips which can be customised to individual requirements. Choice treks and summits include the Classic Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, the ascent of Mont Blanc in the Alps and Via Ferrata climbing on spectacular routes in the Dolomites.
We have now extended our scope of adventures by providing trips to 12 countries across the globe. We have added Nepal, Tanzania, Morocco and Argentina where we are now offering exciting new summit expeditions such as Cho Oyu, Baruntse, Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and Mount Toubkal. North Africa is a fascinating region and our trips combine trekking with cultural experiences such as the Moroccan desert and berber villages. We have recently launched a new specialist website for Aconcagua in Argentina, which at 6962m is the world's highest trekking peak. We offer two routes up this mountain via the Normal Route and the Polish Traverse Route. For those not interested in reaching the summit we have an inspiring Adventure Tango and Wine Tour package combining the outdoors, dancing and wine tasting in Mendoza and Buenos Aires. Other diverse adventure experiences we now provide are kayaking trips along the beautiful Norwegian fjords. Do this with the family on our Fjord Explorer trip or make it an adult group challenge by paddling the length of the Sognefjord.
Based in Keswick in the heart of the Lake District we offer a wide range of outdoor activities and training courses in the Lake District National Park and we are active members and supporters of the Tourism and Conservation Partnership. We care passionately about preserving an increasingly fragile ecosystem and our activities are structured responsibly to minimise the socio-environmental impact of our operations. We are also one of the UK's leading organisers of mountain challenge and corporate team building events; such as the National 3 Peaks Challenge raising substantial funds for UK charities every year.
